The CGBE 30.7-inch half moon nail desk light

The arch spans 30.7 inches and clears about 14 inches inside, so a nail pillow, a curing lamp and both of your client's hands fit beneath it. Its 392 LEDs (CRI 85 or higher) dim through 10 levels and three color temperatures between 3000K and 6500K. Setup takes no tools (unfold it, slot both ends into the base), and it lights the work rather than curing gel.

What to measure before you pick a CGBE light or tool

    Your table, side to side

    A single station takes the 30.7 inch arch with room to spare. If your table seats two clients, or your client lays both arms flat, go for the 33.5 inch arch.

  2. 2

    The edge of your desk

    Put a ruler on the edge of your desk top. The gooseneck clamp grips tops up to 2.1 inches thick, and on anything thicker you set the same light bar on its table base.

    Your lash bed

    Measure from the floor to your client's face on the bed. The rolling half moon runs from 57.1 to 80.7 inches, and the 3-segment lamp sits lower, from 49.6 to 59.8.

    Your drill

    Pull a bit from your handpiece and check the shaft. Every CGBE bit set has the standard 3/32 inch (2.35 mm) shank, so a handpiece made for that size takes them.

    Your shower wall

    Run a finger over the spot. The stainless hooks need smooth tile, glass, mirror, acrylic or metal, so skip painted walls, wallpaper, natural stone and textured tile.

    The light you match under

    If you match shades for clients, you want a daylight setting. The 30.7 inch arch and the gooseneck both reach 6500K, with warmer steps for evening work.

    Pick by where your client sits. At a manicure table the 30.7 inch arch fits most desks and the 33.5 inch one suits a double station. For lash work the arch rides on a rolling stand, and one rises to 80.7 inches over the bed.

  • Nail desk lamps

    If your table is crowded, the gooseneck lamp clamps to a desk edge up to 2.1 inches thick and bends its 23.6 inch light bar right over the hand. The same bar also comes on a table base, and on a floor stand for a chair.

    Over a lash bed your light has to clear the client and reach the eyes. The rolling half moon lifts from 57.1 to 80.7 inches with 308 LEDs at CRI 90, and the 3-segment lamp opens to 34.25 inches across a lower bed.

Why CGBE makes desk lights and shower hooks

CGBE has been selling since 2020. Our Pro line is built around the nail and lash desk, and the Home & bath line takes on smaller jobs: a razor with nowhere to hang, a cabinet door with room for a shelf.

Which CGBE light should you get for your nail desk?

With a clear 31 inches at the back of the desk, the 30.7-inch half moon light lights both hands at once. On a smaller table, the 23.6-inch gooseneck lamp clamps on and bends to where you need it.

Will a CGBE half moon light cure your gel polish?

No, the half moon lights are work lights for seeing the nail. Gel cures under the mini 36W UV/LED lamp, which gives off UV, so dermatologists advise SPF 30 or higher on the hands or dark fingerless gloves (our gel lamp story has the details).

Will CGBE drill bits fit your nail drill?

All our bits use the 3/32-inch (2.35 mm) shank that most nail drills take. Look up the shank size in your drill's manual before you order.

Will CGBE shower hooks stay up on your tile?

On smooth, glazed tile each hook holds up to 13 lb once the tape has set for 24 hours. Textured tile, natural stone, painted walls and wallpaper are not suitable.
