CGBE Mini Buffer Blocks 100/180

Small CGBE blocks, a fresh one for each client

Each block measures 1.4 by 1.0 by 0.5 inches, small enough to work inside the curve of a pinky nail or along a toenail edge. The 100 side shapes and takes down hard edges and toenails, and the 180 side smooths the free edge afterward. Between the two faces sits a foam core that gives a little under the finger and keeps the block from snapping.

In a salon, buffers are single-client items. The California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, under Section 981, requires anything that cannot be disinfected, buffers included, to go in the trash right after use on one client, and a tech may not save it for that same client next time. A pack of 50 or 100 makes the rule easy to keep: a fresh block for every set.

How to use it

1. Use the 100 side to shape and to take down rough or thick edges.
