The inside of a cabinet door is wasted space until something hangs on it. Each of these two shelves measures 7 by 3 by 4.7 inches, shallow enough that the door still closes and deep enough for sponges, dish soap, a roll of trash bags or spice jars.

Mounting takes a strip of adhesive tape and a buckle. Stick the tape to a smooth, flat surface, clip the shelf onto the buckle, and it holds up to 16 lb. Since nothing is drilled, it suits a rental kitchen or a bathroom vanity where you cannot leave marks.

Drain holes along the base let water out, so the shelves also work inside a shower or under a sink where things drip. The PET body rinses clean, and five colors are made, from clear to amber.

For the shower wall itself, the 5-piece adhesive caddy set in the CGBE range adds shelves and soap holders.

How to use it

  1. Measure the inside of the door so the shelf clears the cabinet frame.
  2. Stick the tape to a clean, smooth surface and press it flat.
  3. Hang the shelf on the buckle and load it once the tape has set.
